OUR ROOTS
Ricks AMT is an individually owned non-emergency medical transportation company.
The late Carl (Rick) Reichelt started this company in 2000. He quickly recognized the high demand for medical transportation in Michigan was not being met. Starting off as a driver himself, Rick was able to see firsthand the general lack of coordination between the patient and the transportation companies. Rick’s Auto Medical Transportation was formed to address these concerns and provide a much needed, fully licensed, safe and reliable medical transportation company for Michigan.
After many years and a growing success, Rick’s Auto Medical Transportation converted into the now Ricks AMT.
Sarah Clark, daughter of Carl Reichelt took over in 2015. Since then, she was able to transform Ricks AMT to match the new wave of transportation business alike. Expanding to new locations and building a fleet of over 100 vehicles in the state of Michigan alone. Ricks AMT operates with state-of-the-art dispatching technology, giving our clients real time updates for peace of mind.
We have now served the transportation needs of over 500,000 individuals throughout Michigan. We look forward to a continued partnership with these important clients in Michigan and nationwide, with plans to keep expanding in the future. Look out for our wheelchair fleet coming soon!
